After establishing himself in the groundbreaking East Village/underground art scene of theearly 80s, he worked and exhibited alongside such influential artists as the late JeanMichel Basquiat and Keith Haring. Cey then took his already palpable talent to the nextlevel by studying painting at the School of Visual Arts.
Soon afterwards, Cey began a long standing professional relationship with hip hop mogulRussell Simmons and joined the creative team at Rush artist management. While there hecreated logos, tour merchandising, billboards and advertising campaigns for some of themost influential artist in rap music, including Beastie Boys, Run DMC, De La Soul and LLCool J.

In addition, Cey and the Drawing Boardcreated corporate identities for Sean "P. Diddy" Comb's chain of Justin's Restaurants, theSean John clothing line and designed key artwork and soundtrack album packaging for the popular films Belly, Rush Hour and Next Friday.
After the Drawing Board closed its doors in 1999, Cey kicked off a string of endeavors inLos Angeles and NYC. Some of those projects included ad campaigns for Nike, Coca-Cola, HBO, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, top rated NYC's radio stations Hot 97 and WBLS,and Paul Allen's Seattle based Experience Music Project -- where Cey co-designed thehip hop wing of the Rock and Roll museum.
In 2003 Cey was hired by Dave Chapelle to create the eye catching and prominentlyfeatured logo for the hugely successful Chapelle's Show and over the course of the nexttwo years Cey continued to bring his work to new audiences via album design (i.e. Maroon5's 2005 Grammy winning Songs About Jane), tour photography, stage wardrobe and tourmerchandising design for multi platinum artists Beastie Boys, Stevie Nicks, Don Henley,Enimem and Foo Fighters.

SYESHA MERCADO is an amazingly talented and brilliant young lady whose incredible voice and personality have propelled her around the country. She has performed before millions of fans around the world. In 2008, she was one of American Idol’s Top 3 Finalist. She is currently on a national tour of the theatrical production, “Dream Girls.” She is also in the studio working on her CD project.
As a young child, much of Syesha’s childhood was spent in Bradenton and Sarasota. Her love for singing was discovered while singing in the church choir. She is a Booker High School VPA Alumni which is where she began to master her unique vocal abilities and began developing her passion for singing.
During the 2005 Florida Theatre and South Eastern Theater Conference, Mercado won “Best Supporting Actress” for her role in “Seussical the Musical.” In 2006, she was a contestant on ABC’s “The One: Making a Music Star” and won the Florida Super-singer Contest.
