Our Choir is Raising The Praise!

In March 2010, Greatness Beyond  Measure (GBM) Community Choir traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to "Raize the Praize" on Bobby Jones Gospel, the #1 Top- Rated National Television show on BET and the Word Network.

A special nod goes to Marc Dortch on lead vocals.

First made it's debut during the 1st Annual Greatness Beyond Measure Teen Summit in 2008. Since that time, "Greatness Beyond Measure" affectionately called "GBM," has continued to grow and minister throughout Florida. Since it's inception, GBM has had the incredible opportunity to open for multi-grammy award winning, recording artist, Kirk Franklin and American Idol, Top Finalist, Syesha Mercado. GBM has also appeared on BET's #1 Top-rated show, Bobby Jones Gospel, a nationally syndicated gospel show which airs weekly on the BET & WORD networks, primetime Sunday am.

GBM is comprised of Bay area teens and young adults from Sarasota and Manatee counties, who have come together from various churches, schools and organizations to uplift the name of Jesus, while promoting unity in the community, statewide and nationally.

GBM provides a platform for gifted performers, musicians and artists, to share their God-Given Talents, in an environment that is conducive for fostering positive enrichment, development and empowerment.

GBM Choir is under the direction and management of Melanie Thomas and EJ Porter.

 Amazing Vocal Talent Wows the Crowd

After Alyssa wows the crowd at GBM Teen Summit 09' with her amazing vocal talent and taking home the title of GBM Teen Idol, a few months later, she also mesmerized the crowd at "Sarasota's Got Talent", only to win 1st Place in the county-wide competition.

Alyssa was also recently given an invite by Coca- Cola to perform at this year's 2010 Essence Festival in New Orleans.

 Dancing Across the Stage Like Michael Jackson

After seeing Derrick Gouborne dance across the stage, with jaw-dropping Michael Jackson moves, there is absolutely no doubt that he is an incredibly gifted and talented dance prodigy.

Derrick is the 2009 "Sarasota's Got Talent" 1st Place winner for youngsters 12 and younger.
